Uplifts & Removals

Regular fitting price does not include any uplifts and removals.

Prior to fitting any personal belongings and furniture must be removed, and the existing flooring must be uplifted and removed. This service is available at an additional cost, please contact us for any further details.

DIY Uplifts & Removals

There is some precautions when completing an uplift and removal yourself, we suggest you are aware of the following;

• Most councils do not allow DIY waste to be used in regular general waste bins, they may require you to dispose of any waste at a local skip

• If there is any item(s) too large to move out of the area being fitted you must notify us, we can then work with you to ensure you (or someone you have arranged) are available to move the item(s) and they are in a practical position to enable a smoother fitting process.

• Removals/Disposal Services - There are companies that will uplift, remove and dispose of existing flooring. However, in order to work with the fitting dates you must rely on them for completing the work on time. We can communicate with these companies if required to ensure we can fit without delay and the areas are available for use again as soon as possible.

 Checks to make once the existing flooring is removed:

• Check Gripper - Making sure it has not lifted while removing the flooring
• Check Subfloor - Look out for any signs of damp (dark patches), holes/gaps that may allow dirt or drafts through, any detoriated screed
